The Souls Behind the Sound
Jace Marrow - Lead Vocalist
Jace Marrow is the voice of Onfido’s torment and triumph, a poet whose lyrics cut like shards of obsidian. Born in a crumbling factory town, he grew up scavenging stories from the streets — tales of broken dreams and defiant hearts. His voice, raw and jagged, was honed in dive bars, screaming over the din of drunken crowds. Jace’s stage presence is a storm: one moment a whisper, the next a howl that shakes the rafters. Offstage, he’s a recluse, scribbling poetry in tattered notebooks, haunted by the ghosts of his past. His words in “Shadow Anthem” — “We rise, we fall, through the void, we’ll break the wall” — are a manifesto for the Noir Collective. Jace’s influence is felt in every Onfido track, his pain and passion the band’s beating heart.
Lira Kain - Guitarist
Lira Kain wields her guitar like a weapon, her riffs slicing through the silence with chaotic precision. Raised in a nomadic commune, she learned to play on a battered Stratocaster, her fingers bleeding as she taught herself punk and blues. Lira’s style is fearless, blending shoegaze haze with feral energy, as heard in “Veil of Knives.” Her solos are journeys — wild, unpredictable, and transcendent. Onstage, she’s a force, her crimson hair a blur as she thrashes through “Noir Cascade.” Offstage, Lira’s a firebrand, clashing with Jace over creative control but always finding harmony in the music. Her X posts, full of cryptic lyrics and grainy gig photos, keep the Noir Collective on edge.
Draven Holt - Drummer
Draven Holt is the pulse of Onfido, his drums a seismic force that anchors their sound. Growing up in a rough port city, he found solace in rhythm, banging on oil drums before earning his first kit. Draven’s style is primal, blending tribal beats with post-punk fury, as in “Iron Psalm.” His live performances are visceral — sweat-soaked, relentless, shaking venues to their core. Offstage, he’s the band’s jester, defusing tension with dark humor and cheap tequila. Draven’s X handle, @DrumReaper, is a fan favorite, sharing behind-the-scenes chaos and drum covers of “Cinder Saints.” His loyalty to Onfido is unshakable, the glue that keeps them together.
Vera Nox - Bassist
Vera Nox is Onfido’s quiet storm, her basslines the undercurrent that holds their chaos together. Raised in a coastal village, she was drawn to music’s darker edges, teaching herself bass by mimicking Joy Division records. Vera’s playing is haunting, her notes in “Oblivion’s Prayer” weaving a tapestry of melancholy. Onstage, she’s stoic, her presence grounding the band’s frenetic energy. Offstage, she’s the band’s sage, mediating conflicts with calm wisdom. Vera’s minimalist X posts — often just a lyric or a stark photo — resonate deeply with the Noir Collective. Her understated power is Onfido’s backbone, her bass the pulse of their anthems.
